Life Action was founded over 40 years ago to spark spiritual change in families, churches, and nations. This is why they call people to authentic Christianity—so the gospel light can shine brightly out of lives transformed by the presence and power of God!
Ministry to Ministries would like to share a message from Executive Director/CEO, Brian Paulus, of Life Action Ministries (LAM). Beginning today, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, four of our staff will be training six “speaker teams” who, under the leadership of Peter and Michelle Davis, will begin sharing their passion for revival across Canada. These teams are in addition to Gerhard and Janice DuToit, itinerants based in Vancouver, British Columbia, who have relentlessly led prayer and revival teaching conferences for the past eight years under the banner of Life Action Canada…in more than 15 countries across five continents.
The spread of LAM resources of all types and kinds have been translated into 30 languages. And Revive magazine has been distributed in bulk in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. How did that happen? And why?
Adding to the above examples of where God has expanded our ministry borders in recent days, we should not forget our ongoing ministry footprints. In recent years, our teams have made multiple visits to El Salvador and Belarus. With all this and more, one might think that LAM is redirecting their focus from North America to the broader world. Are we? If so, why?
By the way, add to that the number of countries individual LAM staff have invested overseas, and I can count up to 40+ nations. Praise the Lord that, by way of internet, more than 100 countries were connected via livesteam during CryOut’16, originating from Indianapolis!
Are we changing focus? Why the increased global activity?
Why? Is it just to go broader because wider and bigger seems better? If so, we here at Life Action have compromised on a core value of “Take care of the depth of our ministry and let God take care of the breath of our ministry.”
The truth is, God is opening doors and we have felt compelled to respond in order that the mission and message may spread around the world. Based on the stories of how the opportunities have transpired, it is the Lord’s doing not ours. But it is also His command in Matthew 28 to make disciples of all the nations by teaching them to obey all the commands Jesus gave His disciples. What a joy to see doors open and the Gospel advanced beyond our shores.
It was one year ago this week that I heard John Avant boldly declare something to the revival leaders (at our FUSION Conference) that grabbed my attention. He adamantly stated that revival was already happening. Eager listeners who longed for revival immediately wondered where? I found my own mind scanning the landscape of America trying to imagine where. As I watched and sensed leaders engaging the hope, John paused and then injected, “We just have to get on an airplane to see it.” He then offered a suggestion, “Perhaps we need to bring the revival stories from other nations back to the United States in order to raise our own hunger level.
So why are the various outreaches of LAM increasing their global efforts?
Next week, we will explore further what is happening, why it is happening, and, historically, how revival spreads beyond geographical borders.
In the meantime, you don’t have to buy an airplane ticket; you just need to get on the internet. You will be amazed at what God is doing…around the world in reviving His people, empowering them, and sending them to their own Jerusalem and beyond.
Acts 1 (power) comes before Acts 2 (evangelism). That is God’s pattern for advancing the Gospel around the world.
Loving the World, Together!
